You are faced with the following situation:

You have four servers and four applications. You have found that one of the applications performs extremely poorly and often requires so many resources that it brings the performance of other applications to a crawl. You have a need to support 100 total users and your server can handle 40 users each when using the 'well-behaved' applications. You wish to publish the applications in such a way that this 'bad' application will not affect the other applications on the farm, since only a handful of people use it.

How can you publish the applications so this 'bad' app does not affect the performance of other applications in the farm?

given that you can handle enough users on three of the servers, by running the other three well-behaved applications we can isolate the bad application to its own server. the first three servers in the farm will load-balance the well-behaved applications, while the fourth server in the farm will be dedicated to the bad application. this will keep its resource hogging isolated on its own server where it cannot adversely affect the other applications in the farm.
