Before You Begin
To complete the lessons in this chapter, you must:
Be comfortable creating Web applications using server controls and server-side code.
Be somewhat familiar with using Microsoft Windows dynamic-link libraries (DLLs) and Component Object Model (COM) objects in an earlier programming language such as Microsoft Visual Basic version 6.0.
Have some experience with a scripting language, such as Microsoft Visual Basic, Scripting Edition (VBScript) or Microsoft JScript. If you ve never used a scripting language, you should review the VBScript User s Guide or JScript User s Guide topics in the Microsoft Visual Studio online Help before beginning Lesson 4.
