Part III: XML and Web XP

I l @ ve RuBoard

XP requires the team to have the courage to make changes to code at any time and anywhere . Refactoring and continuous integration rely on a framework of object-oriented programming and an arsenal of unit tests. This is fine for the server-side programming elements of Web projects, but what about pages?

Pages are not objects. They are brittle and difficult to manage and unit tests can't tell you that an important sentence is missing or that the wrong image is being displayed.

Part III looks at how XML works in XP Web development. We start with a discussion of HTML and its limitations in Web site design. Then we turn to basic XML and its obvious advantages. Finally we look at how XML works in actual XP Web development practice.
