The Bottom Line

You can spend hours browsing through all the different Google map mashups on the Web. There's some really cool and innovative mashups out thereand some that are actually useful. The ability to display virtually any type of content on a Google map puts a lot of power in the hands of web users and developers, and makes Google maps even more useful than they are on the Google Local site. I recommend you check out some of these mashups just to see what's possible, and then, if you're interested in creating your own mashups, jump ahead to Chapter 41 and get coding.
