Putting It All Together

Business intelligence that simply sits on a relational or OLAP server without ever getting to the users does no good for anyone. To make a difference, this information must reach its target audience. In many cases, the target audience is too busy with other commitments to seek out the information. It is up to us to put business intelligence at their fingertips.

In this chapter, we saw how Reporting Services was part of the solution for getting information to the decision makers. In the next chapter, we look at ways developers can integrate business intelligence right into their applications.
