After a person has gotten comfortable with the Application Wizard, it is common to rush through it. This can lead to many problems later on. If, for example, in your SDI and MDI applications, you fail to use CrichEditView as your base class, then your application will not actually support text documents. This is done during Step 6 of the Application Wizard for SDI and MDI applications.
