Site-Wide Error Handlers

In addition to the many other ways that you can handle errors, ColdFusion MX provides you with a setting in the ColdFusion Administrator that enables you to specify a site-wide error handling page. The page you set here provides you with one last line of defense before your users are presented with standard ColdFusion error syntax.

It's a good idea to specify a site-wide error handling template in the Administrator to act as a catchall for any unintentionally unhandled error messages. Keep in mind, however, that when you specify an error template in the Administrator, the template you use needs to be somewhat generic because all ColdFusion applications on the server will use this template for any unhandled errors that they encounter.
