Chapter 14. The Future of SAN

The future of storage networking is being shaped by a spectrum of existing and emergent technologies and the real-world applications they are designed to serve. Foretelling the future of anything is at best an educated guess, but the history of IT has repeatedly shown the path that any successful technology will inevitably take. This chapter speculates on the future of SANs as it might unfold over the next few years.
