The tools that I have mentioned in this chapter are the ones that I have found useful. There are many more tools to choose from. Finding the right one is a matter of searching for solutions to any need you encounter and selecting the solution that works best for you.

I hope that you have found this book to be a good introduction to the basic concepts of a three-dimensional game engine. Once you have mastered these basics, you will be ready to expand the power and capability of your game engine. Some of the more advanced topics that you will move up to include animation and the use of the programmable pipeline.
