Chapter 7. Patterning

Reason has two devices that can sequence notes directly from the Rack: the Matrix and Redrum pattern sequencers. Reason's pattern sequencers allow you to write short patt0erns and store them in banks easily selected on the front panel.

Pattern sequencers write and store notes in a way that is well suited for live performance. If you are a DJ or electronic music performer, you may prefer pattern sequencers over computer sequencers because they are more flexible to adjust and tweak in real time.
