In this first chapter we provide an overview of the capabilities of Microsoft ISA Server, outline the ISA Server 2004 user interface (UI) for both the Standard and Enterprise Editions, and provide guidance for using ISA Server in different modes and scenarios.
Note | Throughout the book, Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004 is referred to as ISA Server to denote the product. When you see ISA server with the lowercase s in server, be aware we're referencing the physical server itself and not the ISA Server 2004 product. If we are drawing a comparison between ISA Server 2004 and ISA Server 2000, we reference the particular product name. |
