It Works Like This

Check out the Ch11FinishedProject.mov file in this chapter's folder on the book's DVD. The sexy aspects of the movie were created instantly with text-animation presets; the rest is just good ol' fashioned hard work (not that hard, actually) done in the Timeline.

You'll perform the following techniques:

1. Animate the scale of the first slogan.

2. Bring slogans into and out of the scene by using the Raining Characters In and Out presets.

3. Animate text in 3D space, and create a camera fly-through effect to transition to the next message.

4. Add depth to a scene by using an Adjustment layer.

5. Create a vertical Venetian blind effect for the closing title sequence.

6. Fly the company's phone number onto the screen by using the Smooth Move In text-animation preset.

Text-animation presets animate the letters so they scramble and fall.

Falling letters eventually unscramble to reveal the original text.

The text flies behind the viewer to create a camera fly-through effect.
