Two very important people were involved in making this book technically accurate and ensuring that it flows properly from beginning to end. Because this book is the first in-depth review of Microsoft Office Project Server, the task was no small feat.
Genie Peshkova was born and raised in Voronezh, Russia, located 500 kilometers south of Moscow. She is fluent in both Russian and English. At 17, she was working for LogicBay Corporation as a quality assurance specialist. During that time she also did consulting for RelexUS as a technical writer. Genie has a computer science degree from Colorado School of Mines and comes from a tradition of computer science specialists in her family (both her mother, Oksana, and father, Anatoly, have master's degrees). Genie started at QuantumPM in 2002 and by the age of 22 became the youngest project manager there. She was also immediately exposed to and gained knowledge of Microsoft Office Project Server, assisting in QuantumPM's effort in the writing of a couple of chapters in Que Publishing's Special Edition Using Microsoft Office Project 2003. Genie currently lives in Denver, Colorado, with her fiancé, Joe.
Brian Kennemer has worked with Microsoft Office Project 2003 and its predecessor products for almost 10 years. He has been recognized by Microsoft as one of a select group of Most Valued Professionals (MVP) for his knowledge and contribution to the user community. He is a longtime associate of QuantumPM, LLC, representing the organization in a variety of venues and providing support to the consulting staff. He is currently working as a senior trainer and consultant for Electronic Arts, the leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software for personal computers and advanced entertainment systems. Brian is an active member of the local Puget Sound Chapter of the Microsoft Project Users Group (MPUG) and a columnist for the MPUG newsletter. Brian lives near Seattle, Washington, with his wife, Alicia, his daughter, Alivia, and his two sons, Riley and Jesse.
