Changing FrontPage Views

[ LiB ]

FrontPage is what is known as a What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get Web Page editor, which has the somewhat cumbersome acronym WYSIWYG (pronounced "wizzywig"). This simply means that you create pages in a visual manner, rather than using the actual HTML ( Hypertext Markup Language ) code needed to make a Web page.

Of course, if you want to, you can edit your pages in straight HTML code, but we'll wait until Chapter 16, "Work with the Code," to tackle that. In the meantime, you should know that FrontPage 2003 has four views, three that can be used to edit (Design, Split, and Code) and one (Preview) to check out your work as you go.
