GoLive Actionspre-built JavaScripts that are easily configured in the GoLive interfacemake building interactivity into your Web site simple and trouble free. GoLive ships with almost 100 Actions pre-installed. The included Actions perform tasks from the very simple (open a new window, set the status) to the relatively complex (write a cookie, create a password). You'll find the Actions in the Adobe GoLive CS2:Modules:Jscripts:Actions folder; they are separated into subfolders related to the types of tasks they perform (Figure 186). Figure 186. Actions are nestled in subfolders of the Actions folder.
When you download new third-party Actions for GoLive, we recommend you install them in a subfolder called something like Third Party, because it will make it really easy for you to migrate your Actions the next time you upgrade GoLive to a new version. In that event, all you need to do is remove the Third Party subfolder from the Actions folder, install the upgrade, and then return the Third Party folder to the Actions folder. Note For a detailed look at how to install, use, troubleshoot, update, and organize GoLive Actions, we highly recommend the excellent reference ebook by Mads Rasmussens called Adobe GoLive Actions for Newbies, found at http://www.rasmussens.dk/newbies/index_newbies.html. |
