Modifying a Generator in the Inspector

You can modify generators in the Canvas the same way that you modify other objects in Motion. Generators also come with a convenient set of parameters that you can modify in the Inspector. Let's resize the Color Solid generator and change the color in the Inspector.

1.	On the Layers tab, select the Color Solid generator; then press Cmd-4 to close the Layers tab.
2.	Press Cmd-3 to open the Inspector to the Generator tab. Your goal is to change the height of the Color Solid generator until it is just slightly higher than the FRANCES text object.
3.	On the Generator tab in the Inspector, drag the Height slider toward the left to resize the height of the Color Solid generator.
4.	Use the incremental arrows to the left or right of the Height field to change the value to exactly 100.
5.	On the Canvas, drag the Color Solid generator upward until it fits directly below the FRANCES text object. You've adjusted the height and position of the generator. Now let's change the color.
6.	On the Generator tab in the Inspector, click the Color well. The Colors window opens.
7.	In the Colors window, choose a bright red color. The Color Solid generator in the Canvas changes to bright red.
8.	Close the Colors window. The Color Solid generator looks pretty good in the Canvas, but it would look even better if you lowered the opacity so the background shows through the band of color.
9.	Press D to open the Dashboard.
10.	On the Dashboard, drag the Opacity slider toward the left to lower the opacity of the Color Solid generator to 50 percent.
11.	Press Cmd-S to save your progress.

Now that you've completed modifying the Color Solid generator in your project, let's modify the FRANCES text object so that it stands out better against the red band of color.
