Problems

1.	Much of the maintenance of noncurrent but still-supported business application software may be outsourced, often to companies abroad. The rule of thumb here is: "If you can move it across the hall, you can move it around the world." What are the issues in writing a statement of work to outsource the maintenance of an application package you are familiar with?
2.	Review the entire development cycle, and list the Taguchi applications at each stage. How would you introduce a Taguchi-based trustworthy software development program at your firm? Start upstream and move downstream, or start with maintenance and move upstream as the methods prove themselves in practice.
