How many of you use Photoshop so much that you think of it as an operating system?
I got the idea for this book from all the sessions I have done over the years at various Photoshop conferences, classes, and seminars . Invariably, after I'm finished with a session, I am flooded by people coming up to me at the stage asking, "Now what was that keyboard shortcut you showed us again?"
As you will see in this book, more than 600 keyboard shortcuts are in Photoshop! A large number of them cannot be found in the manual that comes with Photoshop, nor are they listed in Photoshop's menus . This book lists them all, and more importantly, indexes them in an accessible way. Chances are there is a shortcut, or several, that you could be using ”instead of doing things the way you do them today ”that could literally save you minutes, even hours, a day.
And don't forget, if you can't remember what that one keyboard shortcut is, just hold down the entire left side of your keyboard and see what happens. Just don't EVER press (Macintosh: Cmd-Option-Shift-R) [Windows: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R]! That reformats your hard drive.
