Syntax

     Dim result As Boolean = queueVariable.Contains(obj) 

obj (required; any)

The object to search for in the queue

Description

The Contains method indicates whether a given object is somewhere in the queue (true) or not (False).

Usage at a Glance

• obj must correspond exactly to an item in the queue for the method to return TRue.

• String comparison is case sensitive and is not affected by the setting of Option Compare.

Version Differences

Visual Basic 2005 adds support for generics to queues, as discussed in Chapter 10.
