CSS in Flash?

[ LiB ]

Okay, so it's not exactly CSS in Flash, but it's close. Go to your Library and use the panel menu to add a "New Font..." Choose Arial as the font type "Heading 1" in the Name field and press OK. Now add some text to your Stage, select that field, and set the font for it to "Heading 1," which is now listed in your font list with the "*" character next to it. Finally, go back to your Library and double-click the font symbol you just created. Change its font to something else and click OK. You'll notice that any text fields with type "Heading 1" have changed to the new font.

Essentially, we've created a sort of style that we can change globally at any time. Now, if we have Heading 1 text anywhere in our Flash document, we can change that text with one simple step, instead of hunting down each one and changing them individually. It's sorta like a style in HTML.
