Summary

This chapter introduced you to the basics of data access and data manipulation in Web applications. It began with an overview of what is special about Web applications for data processing. Then, it presented a series of four samples that depicted progressively more sophisticated techniques for processing data in Web applications. The chapter concluded with a sample that demonstrated how to perform inserts , updates, and deletes and monitor the impact of changes by others through a DataGrid control.
