Summary

This chapter introduced ASP.NET programming techniques. First, the chapter presented a conceptual review of important ASP.NET programming notions. This background gave you the foundation needed to develop and deploy ASP.NET Web solutions. In addition, you learned about special issues relating to Web development, including properties for the Page class and controls on Web Forms. Three samples reinforced and extended the basic Web programming issues presented at the beginning of the chapter. The chapter s concluding sample demonstrated one approach to authenticating users for a Web application with ASP.NET.
