DATA Loader/MP User Program
HP DataLoader/MP and NM DataLoader/MP software are applications used to load Enscribe and NonStop SQL database. They are most commonly used for loading very large amounts of data.
The Data Loader software is used for:
Loading very large amounts of data
Converting data to various formats
Generation of test data
Extraction of data
Loading data that comes from multiple data sources
System balancing and recovery
RISK DataLoader/MP software is a utility that poses no risks if the data files that are accessed are secured properly. If a user has READ access to sensitive data, DataLoader/MP software provides a tool that can extract data into other formats.
RISK By the nature of the function of DataLoader, the program would normally be used by database administrators.
Securing DataLoader/MP Components
BP-FILE-DATALOAD-01 DATALOAD should be secured "UUNU".
BP-OPSYS-OWNER-02 DATALOAD should be owned by SUPER.SUPER.
BP-OPSYS-FILELOC-02 DATALOAD must reside in $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.
BP-FILE-DATALOAD-02 DataLoader <subvol >.* should be secured "NUNU".
BP-OPSYS-OWNER-03 DataLoader <subvol >.* should be owned by SUPER.SUPER.
BP-OPSYS-FILELOC-03 DataLoader <subvol >.* resides in $SYSTEM.ZDTLOAD.
If available, use Safeguard software or a third party object security product to grant access to DATALOAD object files only to users who require access in order to perform their jobs.
BP-SAFE-DATALOAD-01 Add a Safeguard Protection Record to grant appropriate access to the DATALOAD object file.
