Launching Groove

Microsoft Groove 2007 allows teams to securely work together over the Internet or corporate network as if they were in the same location. Teams using Groove can remotely work with shared files and content, even when they are offline. You can launch Groove 2007 from the Start menu or from the notification area. When you start Groove, the Launchbar window opens, displaying two tabs: one for creating and managing workspaces, and one for adding and managing contacts. If you are having difficulty launching Groove, check to make sure Groove is configured as a Windows Firewall exception.

Launch Groove from the Start Menu and Login

Click the Start button on the taskbar, point to All Programs, click Microsoft Office, and then click Microsoft Office Groove 2007.

Timesaver

Click the Groove icon in the notification area, and then click Open Groove.

Enter your password, and then click Login.

To logoff, click the File menu, and then click Log Off Account.

Add Groove as a Firewall Exception

In Windows, click Start, and then click Control Panel.

Double-click the Windows Firewall icon.

Click the Exceptions tab.

Click Add Program.

Click Browse, navigate to the Programs Files folder, Microsoft Office folder, Office 12 folder, click Groove.exe, and then click Open.

Click OK.
