Finding and Replacing Text

The Find and Replace commands on the Edit menu allow you to locate and change specific text in a presentation. Find helps you locate each occurrence of a specific word or set of characters , while Replace locates every occurrence of a specific word or set of characters and replaces it with a different one. You can change every occurrence of specific text all at once, or you can accept or reject each change individually.

Find and Replace Text

Click the Edit menu, and then click Replace.

Click the Find What box, and then type the text you want to replace.

Click in the Replace With box, and then type the replacement text.

Click one of the following buttons .

  • Click Find Next to find the next occurrence of the text.

  • Click Replace to find and replace this occurrence of the text.

  • Click Replace All to find and replace all occurrences of the text.

Click OK, and then click Close.

Did You Know?

You can use the Find command to search for text . To find text in your presentation, click the Edit menu, click Find, type what you want to find, and then click Find Next.
