Editing WordArt Text

With WordArt, in addition to applying one of the preformatted styles, you can create your own style. You can shape text into a variety of shapes , curves, styles, and color patterns. When you select a WordArt object to edit the text, the WordArt toolbar opens. This toolbar contains tools for coloring, rotating, and shaping your text. You can also format a WordArt object using the tools that are available in the Format dialog box, including positioning and sizing your WordArt. Once you are finished, either click anywhere on the worksheet or click the Close button to close the WordArt toolbar.

Change the Shape of WordArt Text

Click the WordArt object.

Click the WordArt Shape button on the WordArt toolbar.

Click the shape you want to apply to the text.

Rotate WordArt Text

Click the WordArt object.

Click the Free Rotate handle on the WordArt object.

Rotate the WordArt object in any direction.

Click a blank area of the worksheet to deselect the WordArt object.

Color WordArt Text

Click the WordArt object.

Click the Format WordArt button on the WordArt toolbar.

Click the Colors And Lines tab.

Click the Fill Color list arrow, and then select a color or fill effect.

Click OK.

Click a blank area of the worksheet to deselect the WordArt object.

Edit or Format WordArt Text

Click the WordArt object.

Click the Edit Text button on the WordArt toolbar.

Click in the text box to position the insertion point, and then edit or format the text.

Click OK.
