Overview

Photoshop includes a number of editing tools that you can use to touch up specific areas of an image or layer. Many of the techniques resemble traditional techniques used to correct a photo during development. You can adjust the focus of a particular area, enhance its intensity, or use other techniques such as filling an area with color . In this chapter, you will learn how to:

• Add blurring or smudging to an area

• Sharpen an area

• Use the Eraser tools to erase to the background color or transparency

• Erase all of a particular color on a layer using the Magic Eraser

• Add a gradient or fill an area with color

• Dodge, burn, or sponge an area
