3-Band EQ

3- Band EQ

When you create a new song, each channel in the Input Mixer and the Track Mixer (or Input Mix/Track Mix on the VS-880) has a 2-band EQ. The 2-band EQ contains a low shelf and high shelf EQ. I'd suggest you change the song to use the 3-band EQ, which adds a mid-band parametric EQ. To do this, hold down SHIFT and press FADER/EDIT and use the and parameter buttons until the display shows EQ Sel=2BandEQ, then use the jogwheel to set it to EQ Sel=3BandEQ. On the VS-880, you must be in the Input Mix/Track Mix mixer mode, then press the EDIT/SOLO button repeatedly until you see "EQ Sel=2BandEQ," and then use the jogwheel to set it to "EQ Sel=3BandEQ."

When you change to the 3-band EQ, the EQ for any channel can be activated in either the Input Mixer or the Track Mixer, but not both. On the VS-880, you can have the 3-band EQ available for any eight channels in the Input Mix/Track Mix mode.

Unfortunately, there isn't any way to automatically create new songs with the 3-band EQ option.

Master Block

Holding SHIFT and pressing the FADER/EDIT button brings up the Master Block settings. These settings include levels and pans for the Master fader, Aux Sends, and effects. The Master Block is also where you can change Direct Out and channel EQ settings. You can also insert effects into the Master Block, such as a compressor, which are applied across the entire mix. On the VS-880, press the EDIT/SOLO button to access the Master Block settings.
