Finishing the Song

The last step to finishing this song is to add a Software Instrument part from the Loop Browser.

1.	Click the Loop Browser button to open the Loop Browser. Note If your Loop Browser still shows your last search, click the Reset button to clear any previous selections.
2.	Click the Elec Piano button.
3.	Select Deep Electric Piano 05 from the search results.
4.	Move the playhead to the beginning of the 11th measure in the Timeline.
5.	Click-drag the Electric Piano 05 loop from the browser to the playhead position below the lowest track. A new track appears with the Deep Electric Piano 05 region starting at the beginning of the 11th measure in the track.
6.	Click-drag the upper-right corner of the Deep Electric Piano 05 region to extend the loop so it repeats a total of three times.
7.	Double-click the region to open it in the Track Editor. Notice that the note events in the original loop are darker and the note events in the looped segments are light gray. That is because the looped segments are clones or copies of the original. If you wish to edit the region, you need to edit the original segment. Before you transpose the region, let's take a look at the same Software Instrument region in the musical notation view. Make sure that the Advanced area of the Track Editor is showing.
8.	Click the Notation View button, which looks like a note icon. You can perform many of the same track-editing functionssuch as transposing, copying, and deleting notesin notation view as you did in graphic view.
9.	Transpose the entire region by 3.
10.	Close the Track Editor.
11.	If the regions on the two tracks do not already begin at the same time, click-drag the first Falling Star region in the Timeline so the note begins at the same time the Deep Electric Piano 05 region begins.

Project Tasks

The last step is to add and edit two more Deep Electric Piano 05 regions in the Timeline.

1.	Locate the Deep Electric Piano 05 loop in the Loop Browser.
2.	Drag the Deep Electric Piano 05 loop to the Electric Piano track and release it at the beginning of the 20th measure.
3.	Double-click the new Deep Electric Piano 05 region to open it in the Track Editor, and lower the pitch by 3.
4.	Option-drag the same region to the beginning of the 25th measure to duplicate it.
5.	Open the duplicated region in the Track Editor. Change the Track Editor to graphic view.
6.	Click-drag across the first 5 note events at the top of the region to select them.
7.	Press the Delete key to delete the selected notes.
8.	Change the Track Editor to notation view.
9.	Click-drag across all the notes in the lower section of the region, then press the Delete key to delete the long, sustained notes.
10.	Move the edited region in the Timeline so the first note starts at the beginning of the 25th measure.
11.	Close the Track Editor.
12.	Save the finished project.
13.	Play the project to see how it sounds.
