  • User-definable appearance (customization)
  • A DHTML expanding menu on the left of the screen (for supporting browsers)
  • Navigation through a drop-down list
  • Pages that automatically load themselves in the correct frameset
  • Support for Internet Explorer 3.02 and later and Netscape 3 and later.

    The sample site uses many specific coding techniques, including:

  • Use of frames, tables, forms, style sheets, the Object Model, and cookies
  • Cross-frame scripting
  • Links to external CSS and JS files
  • Browser detection
  • Dynamic content through document.write
  • Dynamic event handling, based on browser type
