Assessing Readiness for Exam 70-219

In addition to the general exam-readiness information in the previous section, there are several things you can do to prepare for the "Designing a Microsoft Windows 2000 Directory Services Infrastructure" exam. As you're getting ready for Exam 70-219, visit the Exam Cram Windows 2000 Resource Center; go to www.examcram.com/ and click the MCSE 2000 link. Another valuable resource is the Exam Cram Insider newsletter ”you can sign up at www.examcram.com. We also suggest that you join an active MCSE mailing list. One of the better ones is managed by Sunbelt Software. Sign up at www.sunbelt-software.com (look for the Subscribe To button).

You can also cruise the Web looking for braindumps (recollections of test topics and experiences recorded by others) to help you anticipate topics you're likely to encounter on the test. The MCSE mailing list is a good place to ask where the useful braindumps are, or you can check Shawn Gamble's list at www.commandcentral.com.

You can't be sure that a braindump's author can provide correct answers. Thus, use the questions to guide your studies, but don't rely on the answers in a braindump to lead you to the truth. Double-check everything you find in any braindump.

Microsoft exam mavens also recommend checking the Microsoft Knowledge Base (available on its own CD as part of the TechNet collection or on the Microsoft Web site at http://support.microsoft.com/support/) for "meaningful technical support issues" that relate to your exam's topics. Although we're not sure exactly what the quoted phrase means, we have noticed some overlap between technical support questions on particular products and trouble shooting questions on the exams for those products.
