Note that the code described in this chapter was written and tested in pre-release versions of the Windows Vista SDK, so your experience with using Visual Basic to build WPF applications may be slightly different. The main concepts should be the same, but a few of the details may be different. If you find that you need to make changes to the code, e-mail me at [e-mail] so that I can post descriptions of the changes for others to read.

Tip 

While I was working with the pre-release software, some features worked incorrectly. Many of the properties shown in the Properties window did not allow editing, or used editors that crashed, and some of the new objects did not provide IntelliSense. While these problems will hopefully be fixed before the final release, you should always save your work often in case you encounter unexpected problems.
