CREATING ID STYLES


ID styles, unlike Class styles, can be applied only to a specific style once in a document. ID styles are rarely used these days, but you can use them to specify a unique occurrence of text within your documents like caution, warning, or news flash text, for example. ID styles are used by default by GoLive to define layers, so you can use the CSS Editor to perform additional edits on your layers that may not be available in the Layers Inspector or Layers palette. The biggest drawback to using ID styles is that you have to code them in the HTML code, as shown in Figure 37.16.
