Saving Palette and Toolbox Locations

Photoshop offers many tools to help you customize your work area and simplify the image editing process. For one thing, you can create a workspace so Photoshop remembers the location of where you like to place the Toolbox and palettes on the screen.

To establish a workspace, first get the Toolbox and palettes positioned in the Photoshop window where you like them.

Then, simply choose Window→Workspace→Save Workspace. In the Save Workspace dialog box, name your workspace and then click Save. When you want to load a workspace, choose Window→Workspace. All your workspaces are listed at the bottom of the menu. Click the one you want, and the palettes and Toolbox appear on screen in position.

To delete a workspace, choose Window→Workspace→Delete Workspace. In the Delete Workspace dialog box, choose the workspace that you want to delete, and then click Delete.

If you want to return the palettes back to their default settings and positions, choose Window→Workspace→Reset Palette Locations.
