Part 5. Formatting Documents

There are all types of ways you can format your documents in Microsoft Word. For example, you can insert a page break and start text on a new page, insert a section break and have double columns in a portion of your document, or add triple columns to your entire document and create a pamphlet.

In addition to these formatting techniques, you can change your page margins or simply center text on a page so you don't have to change the document margins. If you want to print a draft copy of a report to your colleagues but let them know it is not finished, you can add a watermark that says "Draft" across each printed page. You can even add comments in the document (and print them) for your colleagues to review.

You can also use some nice finishing touches, such as page borders, page numbers, headers and footers, and symbols and special characters.
