In this chapter, we will cover the Tiger tools for process management from the command line and the GUI, including how to identify and terminate processes that are causing problems for you.

We'll also cover the notion of input and output redirection. This is the root of much of the real power of the Unix command line. As you read, you should think about how commands that you've already learned might be enhanced by these features; completely independent utilities and applications can often be combined in very unexpected ways.
