Other String Methods

Other String Methods

There are a number other String methods available to you, but we're not quite ready to fully understand what they do and how they're used. We'll use some of the other methods in programs that we'll write in later chapters. To whet your appetite for the moment, you can experiment with a program named StringProgram. A sample run using the StringProgram is shown in Figure 6.21.

In general, you can get additional information by using the online Help facility with Visual Basic .NET. For now, simply try running StringProgram and figure out what each of the options does and how to use it. By the way, making mistakes running the program won't hurt anything. As I've said before, making mistakes is a great way to learn, especially in a controlled environment! Have fun and experiment.
