filtering
When used with Group Policy, filtering is used to specify which accounts will not have the GPO applied to them.
footprinting
Attack type in which an attacker gleans information about the systems that exist on a companies network, either the perimeter, or more than likely, the internal network.
forest owners
The administrative staff who have been assigned the full control of the forest. Members of the Enterprise Admins group or Domain Admins from the forest root are forest owners.
forest root domain
Initial domain that is created when the first domain controller is promoted. Holds the Enterprise Admins and Schema Admins groups and is also the default location for the Schema Master and Domain Naming Master master operations roles.
forest trust
Transitive trust relationship that is created between two forests that are running at the Windows Server 2003 functional level.
