The purpose of the bonus projects is to approach an application at every stage of development. In this lesson, you started with a simple design phase, followed by page and function layout. This project will also help to develop your ASP.NET skills so that you will be comfortable in your other projects.
Future bonus projects will enhance this application further. Next time, you'll add database capabilities to your application, making it truly dynamic. After that you'll learn about using "componentizing" and Web services to build a powerful, robust, real-world application. But first, you've got to get through Week 2!
