That's Not ASP!
The mobile Web component for ASP.NET is unlike anything available in classic ASP. The mobile Web forms offer easy-to-build mobile applications, the mobile server controls render adaptively to their viewing environment, and these pages support many of the same features as their counterparts in ASP.NET, such as caching, input validation, and error control.
Prior to the mobile Web component, developers had to build multiple versions of a page to support mobile devices, requiring long and complex development stages. In addition, developing for this arena often required the developer to learn different programming languages, such as WML and the WAP protocol, neither of which is very intuitive.
ASP.NET makes mobile application development much easier. Using the familiar ASP.NET syntax and concepts, you can easily create complex user interfaces, as well as the logic to control them. In fact, ASP.NET makes development so easy, there's no excuse for not having a wireless device capable site!
