Restoring User Data Files

After you have installed Windows as a clean installation, you can restore the data files you backed up before the installation process.

If you copied them to other media or a network location with drag and drop, you can drag and drop them back to the desired location. However, if you created the backup with a tape drive or other device that uses backup software, you must install the backup software and device to restore the files.
