Completing the Purchase

The shopper's experience of completing a purchase is a natural extension to the shopping basket experience. Once the shopper has placed all products to be purchased in the basket, they click the "Check Out" button to begin the process of providing information about their billing and shipping addresses, credit card information, reviewing the total cost including tax, shipping, and handling, and committing to the purchase. Commerce Server provides a variety of support for this process.

The next three sub-sections discuss the support provided by Commerce Server for purchase completion in each of the three types of functionality: user interfaces, Web sites, and objects.
