Downloading WAIK

You will need to download either the 64-bit or 32-bit version of the WAIK, depending on which version of Windows you are running it on. You also need the WinPE.cab file, which contains the WinPE bits. Put it in the same directory as the WAIK installer. Once the files are downloaded, run the waik*.msi file for the platform you are using to install WAIK. If you are installing WAIK on Windows XP you will need to download and install MSXML 6.0 first. There is also at least one security update for MSXML 6.0 already so be sure you pay a visit to Microsoft Update before you go surfing the Web on the computer you installed MSXML on.
