Getting to Know the Brush Creator

The Brush Creator is like its own mini-program within Painter. It has its own menu bar, Toolbox, and workspace. Essentially it is made up of three different areas, including the Stroke Designer, the Transposer, and the Randomizerall of which allow you to create different brushes.

Accessing the Brush Creator

You can access the Brush Creator the same way you do other palettes.

NOTE

The keyboard shortcut for the Brush Creator is Command+B (in the Mac OS) and Ctrl+B (in Windows).

Understanding the Brush Creator User Interface

Just like Painter itself, the Brush Creator is broken down into several elements, including a Toolbox, menu bar, and Property bar.
