Communicating with Remote Servers through the HTTPS Protocol

The HTTPS protocol allows secure transactions to occur at Web sites. The .NET Compact Framework implementation of HttpWebRequest is capable of accessing servers by using the HTTPS protocol with no special effort from the developer (see the earlier section "Communicating with Remote Servers through the HTTP Protocol").
