Chapter 6. The Editing Workflow

Editing in Premiere Pro is far more intuitive and efficient than it has ever been. Whether you are using the Source Monitor to trim your clips or dropping all your clips to the timeline and then adjusting, Premiere Pro offers a host of tools and techniques to make the editing process less cumbersome.

I like to have a workflow when I edit, a structure and rhythm that I follow so that it is easy to make changes to what has been edited and so I can also decipher my work very clearly.

This chapter will guide you through a basic workflow and explain the rules and functions of editing in Premiere Pro. After a quick overview of the editing terms and basics, you will explore the program's functions within the context of a workflow.
