Chapter 17. Heartbeat Car Commercial

The original idea for the heartbeat you'll visualize with this chapter's project was inspired by a project in which I set an oscilloscope waveform inside a logo. I really liked the idea and began to experiment with it as a means of expressing the excitement someone may feel the first time they drive a Saleen S7 car.

In this project, you'll learn how to use a variety of effects and a mask to create and animate the heartbeat. You'll also use effects to build a heart monitor to contain the heartbeat and to frame some video footage. The lessons you'll learn as you animate the heartbeat's path can be applied to other projects in which you want to animate lines and outlines.
