Chapter 1. Spinning SquaresIn your work, you may often be asked to create something from nothing: no footage, perhaps just a logo and a few stills. In this chapter and the next two, we'll show how much you can do with so little by working with the multitalented and jack-of-all trades (in the right hands, of course) Solid layer in After Effects. Starting with only a company logo, you can pick a color palette and graphic style that work within the client's persona. For this project, you have three product shots and the company logo to work with. By focusing on four main colors (orange, green, purple, and yellow), you can build an engaging sequence for each product shot by using different shades and tints of each particular color to distinguish each segment. |
