Under the GConfClient API are several low-level GConf subsystems. Because all libgnome and libgnomeui applications are supposed to interface with GConf through GConfClient objects, there is no point in discussing the implementation layer.

Although the material in this chapter covers GConfClient components , you should look at some large applications such as Nautilus ” they can show you how to manage large groups of GConf entries in their Preferences windows . And of course, it's always interesting to explore a large application's GConf entries with the configuration editor.
