Pangaea NewMedia is an award-winning interactive media production company based in Toronto. Founded in 1995 by veteran film/video and music producer Tony Tobias and media technology architect Kevin Towes, Pangaea has been developing innovative and interactive web solutions for clients in some of the most dynamic industry sectors.

Pangaea specializes in content solutions for the Internet, TV, iTV, radio, and wireless. Pangaea's proprietary suite of interactive media solutions and tools allow those publishing content to the web and other media platforms to manage and control their own content. Pangaea sites and applications enhance the user experience while providing the maximum in functionality, simplicity of navigation, and best presentation of strategic content.

In 2000, Pangaea was one of the first companies to produce a full Flash web site with complete content management for Imported Artists (www.importedartists.com). The site has won various awards for its Flash design and underlying technology.

Pangaea was also one of the first companies to be awarded development funding from the Interactive Broadcast Development Group for the creation of an interactive television prototype. Pangaea demonstrated a fully functional iTV prototype, showcasing a new way of integrating television and the Internet for an interactive TV experience. Currently, Pangaea is participating in the MPEG-4 trials broadcasting from the CN Tower in Toronto, in collaboration with Canadian Digital Television, Inc. (CDTV) and Ryerson University.
